Ron came to Utah in 1972 after earning a bachelor's degree in art from University of California Santa Barbara. In his time here he has taught stained glass classes and pottery classes, as well as worked as a finish carpenter, a subcontractor, and a construction superintendent.
Woodworking and furniture design have been long-time interests for Ron. Over the years he has studied furniture construction, design and techniques. He takes inspiration from Asian design, and melds it with his own ideas.
Through the years Ron has made furniture for his own home and for friends, but it is only in the past few years he has decided to pursue his designs full time. He makes all his furniture out of his workshop in Woods Cross, Utah. Many of the woods he uses are harvested locally and all are acclimated to Utah's dry environment.
