Wow, it has been super busy in Torrey, Capitol Reef National Park and Gallery 24! The best part of our little world here is that even when it's extra busy, it's not crowded anywhere and there's plenty of parking! Leave your city woes behind. We have even had some generous rainstorms which have made for an excellent showing in the fruit and floral arena. The apricot harvest was out of control--plentiful, delicious and still only $1 a pound.

Apple Days was a huge success with the regulars parking their trucks and summer chairs for perfect roadside seating in plenty of time the day before the parade. Not one little piece of treasured candy was left on the street--young eagle eyes saw to that. Rummage sales, pie eating, farmers markets, kittens looking for forever homes--there was truly something for everyone.

Here at Gallery 24, we had an exciting July 2 evening. Diane has some new red, white and blue constructions to entertain your sense of place, Nancy has lots of cool new monoprints, Paula has been work work working in the plein air and Robert White not only brought in super new carved and mounted trout, but came in person to the opening which is always a treat for us.
Barry was busy in the kitchen with chopped liver and endive, passed expertly by Karla who agreed to assist us in her professional waitperson capacity. A great time was had by all.

Our next event will be on September 3, the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Be there or be square--don't miss it! We will be featuring new work by our amazing Torrey photographer, Guy Tal. He has such a busy schedule, we are pretty thrilled he can fit us in. In the meantime, we are open Thursday through Monday, 11-5, and any time by appointment--feel free to call or email. Hope to see you all soon.
