Larry works in watercolor, dry and oil pastel. His drawings begin as landscapes but don’t always end up that way, though they do sort of. Color and certain geometries that arise in his drawings are a pursuit. He was an art major at Brown University, a painting major at the Cleveland Institute of Art, an illustration major at Parsons School of Design, and spent time in NYC as a freelance illustrator. His scholarly work concerns visual information processing and visual communication. He resides in Piedmont North Carolina with wife Diane, four horses, two dogs, and an untold number of cats, and their small, treed farm is a source of inspiration and solace.
