NEWS
This years’ Gallery 24 NEWS is the best!
2020 is over and one by one we are getting vaccinated so we can enjoy each other and the rest of the country and the world once again.
We are so very lucky here in Wayne County because for the past year we have been prisoners in a beautiful, naturally isolated place with a myriad of things to do. We are not hemmed in by dense population and hundreds of folks right outside the door. We were spared so much of the city fears and statistics, and although we did have to shop for groceries in person, the stores were never crowded. Enough. We continue to mask up here at the Gallery to protect those folks younger than we are, so do put one in your pocket when you head our direction.
Last season was a good one here at the Gallery even though our visitors were mostly from closer to home. We thank all of you from Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Wyoming who came hiking in Torrey and supported our artists as well. We remained open all winter on Saturdays and had some holiday fun - a new direction for us. Next
week, April 2, will begin our official 2021 season. The restaurants are opening - and yes, there are some terrific new tastes in store for you - the general store is open, the hotels are open, it’s all good! Our regular hours are Friday - Saturday - Sunday, 12 noon - 5 pm and I am almost always available to let you in on the spur of the moment for a visit - just ring me on my mobile: 415-200-6212.
We have plenty of great art for you to enjoy and the advent of spring has spurred all our artists on to new work. We are still waiting for pieces from those who have not yet been vaccinated, but no worries, there is plenty to keep your eyes busy here. The daffodils in my garden are almost open, and before we know it, we’ll be picking apricots in the park. Just hop in your car, drive safe, and we will see you soon!
