OCTOBER NEWS

Make a note on your calendar…
October will be an exciting time at Gallery 24 here in Torrey-it’s a great time to visit!

From the 7th to the 12th, the Entrada Institute and Capitol Reef National Park will be hosting the annual Arts and the Park. We are honored to have the Utah Watercolor Society gathering in the Park to paint the landscape, enjoy some educational time, and hang their work at auction.

The visiting painter this year is well known Utah painter, Lester Lee. He will be working alongside the others in the Park, and his work will be also be hanging that week at Gallery 24. There will be a Gallery stroll on Friday evening the 10th, including Gallery 24, The Old House at Center and Main, and the Torrey Gallery. The Art Auction will be hosted by Etta Place Cidery on Saturday night, with tasty beverages and spirited bidding.

On October 18th, we will be opening STILL WILD: Framing the Future of Public Lands, a critical photography show from the amazing Wasatch Camera Club. We anticipate a nice crowd. This will be a particularly fine opportunity to enjoy some innovative new work, as well as the work of our own photographers, Steve Babbitt and Guy Tal. Chef Barry will be in the kitchen. The show will be here through December.

We hope to see your faces at our door! The mornings are cool, hiking is just wonderful, the leaves will be turning, and the art work is the best.
